Garmin Forerunner 620

Anyone got one of these and care to share your experiences? How well does it work when running on a treadmill? I believe it has something to work when indoors.

I am thinking of getting this watch for when I run as it would be much more comfortable than my phone, which is quite large on my arm.
Also, would this watch work for cycling too? Or is it mainly for running/walking? How about tennis? Could this watch track calories/distance run during a match of tennis?

Do a search for DC Rainmaker who does in depth reviews of a lot of fitness equipment.

He is really impressed with the watch but the last time I read the review there wasn't any cycling mode as such but I believe that is coming with a firmware update.

I was looking at buying this watch but I am now waiting to see how the new Polar v800 compares to this and the Suunto Ambit2, both of these are multisport so may be more suited to me as I do a lot of cycling and have started swimming again in preparation for triathlons this year.

I don't have this model but I have the Garmin forerunner 210. I absolutely love it! You can use it on a treadmill, it has a feature to turn off the satellite link. I also use it for cycling , you can monitor HR, and pace but since it is not attached to you bike you cannot measure RPM and you can only see your distance travelled once you end the program. All of these can be uploaded to Garmin connect website where you can track, analyze and do all sorts of other cool stuff. I would love to upgrade to the 620, and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another Garmin product.

Thanks for the feedback. Less concerned about the bike since I do have Endomondo on my phone to track distance/time.
