Hi-
My knee makes a crunching sound, and periodically is pretty sore. Any suggestions for cardio that I can do without aggravating whatever is going on?
Is it ok to use a stationary bike?
A Rower?
Elliptical?
Other?
thanks!

Since nobody else has responded, I'd suggest (as someone who has torn their ACL twice) that you need to find out what's causing your knee to crunch and be sore before anybody (ideally your doctor) can recommend a cardio exercise.

I personally use an erg, but that's only after I received clearance from my orthopedic surgeon (and he didn't give it right away). Similarly, if you have ligament issues, the elliptical may be disastrous.

People here unfortunately have no way to know.

    Good luck!

Yeah, knee crunching isn't a good thing, but the best thing I have found when I am hurting in any part of my body is the water. Go for a swim. Low impact and very relaxing.
