IIFYM -If it fits your macros

Hi, I need to lose 65 pounds and have recently looked into IIFYM. The amount of protein seems really high and carbs are almost not existent. The calories I need to consume every day is 1712 to lose weight which also seems really high to me! Has anyone been successful at these numbers? I am working out 6 days a week, this is my first week on Beach Body Insanity! I hit it hard everyday and feel good about my workouts. I have only had 3 pounds loss and don't want to gain by increasing my calories. I have tried IIFYM last summer and did not do well on the numbers that were suggested. Can anyone help me out? :flowerforyou:
