Just looking for a little feedback here..
I've lost about 27lbs since mid-October. These last few weeks I've totally plateaued. So I've decided to make a few changes. I was counting calories before, but eating a lot of crap (ie Dunkin' Donuts bagels, candy when it fit into my calorie count, etc.) So basically I am now trying to eat much more clean. I'm trying to keep sugar intake to 25g a day.
I am also doing the Jamie Eason LiveFit trainer. I am used to being a cardio queen, but I am switching it up to focus more on lifting. I am attempting to eat around 1400 calories a day, a bit higher when I work legs due to the higher calorie burn. How does this sound to you guys?!

1,400 calories seems a bit low. Do you know your TDEE? And do you have a HRM that tells you how much you're burning per workout? Those two things would be extremely beneficial in making sure you're eating enough. I don't know your height so I can't really do the numbers for you, but I feel like it would be beneficial to actually eat more here.
And unless you have a medical issue, I wouldn't break your back over the sugar goal. Hit your calories and macros and you'll be fine.0 -
Sounds pretty good. When you start lifting, be prepared to have several more weeks in the plateau. I did this once when I hit a plateau and it took 6 more weeks, then the losses really started to pick up. Good luck!0

I calculated my TDEE recently. I was a little confused over what to put for activity level. I usually get to the gym about 5 days a week. Other than that, I have a ten year old so basically just running around with her (ie driving her to her many commitments). I don't have a job where I'm on my feet or anything. So I used "lightly active" and my TDEE came out to 1900, thus I cut 500 to arrive at the 1400.
I am having THE hardest time even eating this much. And I eat ALL day. I have a snack before the gym, full breakfast afterwards. Then I either have lunch or 2 afternoon snacks, dinner and a night time snack. I am not even sure how I'd eat more without incorporating crap! Before deciding to clean up my diet- I'd have a bagel every day after the gym which was around 400 calories. Now I have usually an omelette which is obviously far less. I am also only 5'0' so I feel scared of eating more than 1400. I have around 40lbs to lose..0
