"The 15-time marathon runner said he is not burned out on McDonald's, and his body doesn't seem to be, either. Blood work taken before the challenge showed his cholesterol at 186, by day 25 of all-McDonald's, he was at 158 (he also runs about 100 miles per week)."

More recently he raised over $5000 for McDonald House Charities while breaking the Guinness World Record for Fastest Marathon Dressed as a Dairy Product:

I think this says more about what running 100 miles a week can do for you than what Micky Ds can do!

Excellent point in regards to the biggest predictor for his marathon time (running lots of miles)

I do think his cholesterol data is encouraging however. I would like to see his menu but I am guessing he did a good job maintaining reasonable calorie/macro targets while eating at McDonald's. Anyone who runs 100 miles a week has to eat a lot just to maintain his/her weight.

Usain Bolt claims to have eaten 1000 McDonald's Chicken Nuggets during the 2008 Beijing Olympics:

This is a man with no gustatory discernment -- that is, sense of taste and what tastes good.
That is disgusting! I can eat McDonald's. But, every day?
I applaud his civic spirit and willingness to sacrifice for a cause (the running in a suit).
    But . . . eeeeew!

I agree too! You can use any form of food with carbs to fuel runs... My diet is far from perfect and I'm able to still run...

more interested as it looked what he took in vs what he burned daily...100 miles a week is serious mileage
