Insanity Recovery week

Anyone else out there doing/done Recovery week of Insanity.
I'm interested to hear people opinions on it. I did day 1 last night and I wasn't a fan. I'm not going to skip it becuase it is part of the programme but, yeah not a fan.
I think firstly because it felt so slow paced compared to what I was used to in Month 1. I didn' t feel like I had had a good workout, felt a bit like I was slacking lol and I missed that post exercise high you get from working out REALLY hard but at the same time I understand the point is to recover. it's just mentally hard to adjust to.
I kept pace with the guys on the DVD all the way through even though I was tempted to go faster.
I've read a few posts - Shaun T tells you to keep it contolled and not to overdo it, and I understand that I will need rest to prepare for next month - I've watched ahead and WTF!! - but I see the point of some posters that surely you will lose some of the strenght and fitness you've built up in the last month by taking it easy for a week making you weaker for month two? I am expecting month two to feel like starting again anyway because the moves will be different and the intensity longer - the focus seems to be more on upper body next month.
I was thinking about adding on Cardio Abs every day this week - or every other day - to maximixe the abs work I get this week since the cardio is lower.
