Hey everyone, so this past weekend I sprained my ankle and twisted my knee (thats what I get for wearing heels in winter). I've been working out pretty intensely for the past four months, and I really don't want this sprain to slow me down. For the first two months I was doing Jillian Micheals Ripped in 30, and for the past two months I've been doing 70 minutes of Jillian's Extreme shed and shred.
I am just wondering if anyone has any advice on good workouts I can do at home. For strength training, I know I can do alot of core and arm work, but I don't know what else to do? Last night I did a 30 minute workout that was mainly core work with leg lifts, and I used dumbbells, but even though I really tried to push myself, I didn't break a sweat. I know sweating isn't technically associated with weightloss, but I just feel like having no cardio is really going to decrease my weightloss. Any advice?

As bad as it sounds, you are limited because of the sprain. Let is heal correctly. I know it's hard to stop working out but it's for the best. You don't want issues down the road. Let it heal properly and just keep doing what you have been.0

There are arm bikes at some gyms! It won't burn as much because your arm muscles are smaller but it'll get some cardio in! Maybe lightly exercise on a bike if you're wearing a brace?0

Ugh, I'm in the same boat. Going to rest it completely for a week, then start looking at upper body and core workouts I can do. The doctor gave me an air brace, and luckily I see the physical therapist for my back tomorrow. Hopefully, she can give me a good timeframe for ankle healage.0
