Play 60 with me!

I know this is a program to encourage kids to get out and play for a minimum of 60 minutes a day but I'm all in. I am taking a stand and promising to myself, with all of you as my witnesses, that I'm going to do this too.

Every day, I'm going to be out there playing basketball, football, walking, biking, rock-climbing, paddling or running. Gone are the days of vegging out in front of the TV with a bag of Doritos. If it's cold, I'll be on the treadmill. If it's warm and raining, I'll be out in it.

Not only will I benefit, but it will be more time that I spend with my son and that is priceless.

NO EXCUSES, NO REGRETS!!! NOW WHO'S WITH ME?

Day one: Fail. It was cold, rainy and my son didn't get home 'till 7PM. We did play an hour of video games though :)
Day two: Ran 2 miles in the morning with warm-up and cool-down, 1/2 hour. Walked after work for another 1/2 hour. YAY!
Day three: Rock climbing gym with friends.
Day four: Should be running again but TBD.
  • I want to play!

I have two boys 2&3 who have been cooped up all winter. I make a promise to them that we will actively play for an hour a day. (Prob 30min 2x a day)

Thanks for this I will check in with our activities.

    Ooh and FR sent!

Day four was running again for 1/2 hour but didn't do anything else.
Day five was Saturday and didn't do anything that would count.
Day six was Sunday and I made up for earlier failures by cutting wood for six hours.
Day seven, ran for 30 min and I'll walk for another 1/2 hour after work.
