Hey!
So, I've always been a yoyo-weight, though always in the heavy end - In 2012ish, I got to my heaviest ever - I've always enjoyed healthy food, but around this time, I also gained a taste for binge-drinking, drank more than 2000cal per week in alcohol alone, + all the sugar and carbs of the rest of the drinks and beer, + the foods I ate while drunk and hung over = massive weight gain!!

I don't know for certain how much I weighed at my heaviest, but in March 2012, my fasting weight was 111kg/245lbs, and I'm certain that this is actually a good bit below my max weight - so I'm going with 115kg/254lbs as a fair estimate - I weighed in this range until about new years.

During the next 6 months, I stopped pretty much from one day to another with the excessive habits - I wasn't dieting at all, but just back to what felt more normal for me, compared to the alcohol and food binges that had gotten me 111kg - that quickly resulted in a loss of about 10kg/22lbs, and then stalled.

Then about 3 months ago, I wanted to take further steps - I started bicycling to and from uni (where I study food science btw!), and tried to go super low on the carbs - I did ok, but I didn't really like it: I felt like I couldn't justify the high intake of fat, plus that I seemed to be unnessesarily giving up a lot of super healthy foods!

Now, I finally bought a smart phone where I could get the MFP app, and I'm religiously counting calories! I still do low-ish on the carbs: I don't do rice, potatos, pasta and hardly any bread (I probably have 2 slices a week, and only if there's more than 8% dietary fibers), and I'm keeping it just under 50%. I'm also training myself to eat fewer times a day - currently I keeping strict 3 hours or more between any sort of food.

So, now I'm here, trying to get to my first goal weight of 90.7kg/200lbs, seeing as that would take me out of the obese catagory, and into the simply overweight one instead :) When I get to that, I'll set a new goal of course, but baby steps!

If there's anyone with similar goals, methods, or starting point, maybe we be friends on here, keep up with how we are each doing? :D Would also be cool to talk to some northern Europeans on here, as I suppose we have more similar food choices and food culture
