FT4 Polar HRM Help

I got a Polar FT4 in July, but have been experiencing problems since my fiancee decided to wash it AND put it in the dryer. Has anyone ever experienced this? It will sometimes say check transmitter, or measure my In-Zone at 110%, but if I move it around it will bounce back to normal, so sometimes I'm not even sure it is accurate. I was thinking maybe I should buy a new chest strap, but then I thought it may be acting funny because I a large chested woman, so sometimes the twins get in the way. Any suggestions and has anyone else ever had this problem? Thanks in advance.

You are never supposed to put it in the dryer. I wash mine in the sink and let it air dry. You will probably have to get a new transmitter. The same thing happened to another friend here on MFP a while back.0

I don't think you will get it to come back to its original usage. It may have survived the wash, but not the dryer!! It probably damaged the metal connections.0
