Keeping away from food

Hey
Do any of you think it is excessive to tape shut drawers?
I have a drawer at work where I keep a few snacks. These are snacks over my allocated snacks for the day.
Do you think it is excessive to tape the drawer shut to deter me from just reaching in and eating?
Do any of you do anything extreme to keep yourself away from food other than just not having it around?

It wouldn't work for me because then I would just want in the drawer more!
You could just switch the snacks in that drawer to be snacks that are within your calories allotment so then you don't have to have those temptations around.
I really struggle at work with snacks too though so I do understand. I did finally take everything out of my snack drawer and have not refilled it. I am trying not to eat as much processed food so I can't really find things to put back in the drawer! I have been taking fruit or cheese sticks with me to stick in the break room fridge for snacks.0
