I am trying to stay fit and healthy during this, my second pregnancy. I had lost all but 6 lbs from my previous pregnancy (2 years ago) when I got pregnant. I had started lifting weights again and being more active, and that helped. I had no gym membership last pregnancy (like I do with this one) and was unable to workout in my 3rd trimester due to hypertension and extreme edema.I am able to make it to the gym to do light weights and cardio 2x a week, which is tough to do with a full time job, toddler, and husband at home. Before baby 1 i was a fit size 6, running daily and working out often. After baby 1 I was a slightly less fit size 8. I just want to be fit and firm, i know my stomach will never be exactly like it was, but, I'm not worried about it as I didn't get stretch marks, just loser skin last time. I just don't want my butt to balloon out and to be able to feel good after this pregnancy. It was tough last time (due to some death's in the family and work stress that took my attention away from health last time post baby).
So, any recommendations on maintaining muscle and staying fit now that I am 20 weeks along and will have to drop the weights down to a lower level during the 3rd trimester? ANY advice is wanted... I want to be healthier at the end of this pregnancy, which will most likely end up with another c section (but, not if I can help it).

I had a similar situation I gained 60 pounds with my first baby and the same with my second pregnancy but I had twins and looked much better after the second. My only exercise was long walks with my stroller and yoga. You'll be fine, just stay aware of what you put in your mouth0

As a mom of 3 I can understand. My first 2 pregnancies I couldn't workout - the last I could. If you're not any restrictions you can continue doing what you had been doing post pregnancy. You may need to modify some moves (like ones having you lay on your back ). But any exercise is going to be good. Walk on the treadmill. Do weights (just be careful
With weight amount and make sure to breathe and not hold your breath.0 -
Try swimming? It'll be great on the stresses of your body, low impact and good exercise. I swam a lot during my first pregnancy. I also did a lot of walking in the bush (woods?).0
