Sun Dog

I live in a cold weather area and of course have heard many stories (including those on MFP) about snow falls and record low temps. This morning, I was greeted with something I have never seen before. I grew up in Florida and apparently sun dogs, which are rings around the sun, happen in cold weather regions when ice crystals are low in the air and refracting sun light. I know a lot of us have been hit with some crazy weather this year. I won't say that seeing this has made the cold weather worth it, but it was pretty cool seeing something new that was caused by the cold weather conditions.
If you have any pics from all the cold weather, please share them!
