Chekov, as head of Starfleet Intelligence?! Tuvok, as head of Section 31?!  <major nerdgasm> :glasses: :glasses:
Yeah, it's "a made for TV movie pilot", but still, it's a continuation of the Star Trek TV universe that I know, love, and sorely miss! (set 10 years after Voyager gets home). Hopefully this will usher in a new TV series!

Now if only they'd make a sequel to DS9 so we can see what happened to Capt. Sisko!

In Star Trek III, the Excelsior had trans warp drive. Why didn't TNG have it?
    :glasses:
"Dilithium used in all Federation warp cores becomes unstable at the high warp frequency essential in the Federation transwarp design. Achieving warp 10 was never possible on the Excelsior. (VOY: "Threshold")

    Next customer...?

ETA: "Transwarp" had a different meaning in the TOS era versus the TNG-n-after era, because they recalibrated the warp scale so that 'Warp10/Transwarp" equal "infinite velocity"... meaning you exist at all points in the universe simultaneously.
