Every now and again is it good to go over your calorie allowance to kick start your metabolism? May of misunderstood but I'm sure I heard this somewhere?
I've been very good at sticking to my 1440 and only going over mainly if I've done exercise :-)

A lot of people say this kind of thing, and there are many theories about varying your daily caloric intake up and down a bit while keeping under or at your goal, but I don't think there's any benefit to actually going over your allowance and eliminating your deficit. You won't screw up your progress by going over once in a while but I don't think it'll do anything to help boost your progress either.0

Your metabolism can't be kickstarted.....just pullstarted.0

Well I don't know about kickstarting anything. But I have noticed occasionally when I have an off day and go over I end up with good results on the scale. I wouldn't probably do it purposely though as it equally often has the opposite result and shows a gain on the scale!0

I have a friend who swears that if she has a higher day once a week or every other week, her loss that week is increased. Works for them, but doesn't work for me.0
