Best places for free or cheap excercise videos?

So I have come to terms that I just can't get this thing going at the gym. I LOVE going to the gym but hate the other people there - everyone is so fit and healthy and I am the giant blob. I know I should not feel that way but I do - I feel like I am doing the wrong thing all the time and everyone does watch you just like I watch everyone else.
I tried setting up a home gym at home but the only place was the garage and the last month it's been to cold to even walk out there for a minute. Sucks.
So I was thinking maybe I would start with some exercise videos. I tried to buy some of the well known ones on ebay but they are SOOOO expensive.
What are some good ones that I could do for free or cheap on my laptop? Is Daily Burn any good? Something like that?

hasfit.com and fitness blender.com are both great sites0

1. You Tube. You don't even have to leave home.
2. Local library. You can check out DVD's and use them. You can get a lot of variety for free, and buy the ones you like.0 -
Fitness Blender looks cool but every video seems to be a women routine (or at least woman trainer). I don't want to get "tank top arms" -- first one I saw - ha ha.
HASFIT seems a little more my style but all the workouts are like 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes - is that going to be effective in losing weight?0 -
Fitness Blender is awesome! It's a husband and wife team - look around, there are plenty of vids with the dude, and a good variety of workouts.0

i feel ya on not wanting to go to the gym, i can never get motivated, workout dvd's arent, the answer. doing a ton of cardio in the living room isn't the answer. Do a google search for body weight exercises you can do at home.. Get a couple dumbells, make a kettle bell out of a milk jug. do pushups, curls, lunges, shoulder press with the dumbells, tricep dips on a chair, crunches, try the 250 squat challenge, pushup challenge. etc....
the main thing is to get the diet in check, get enough protein, drink tons of water, cut out excess salt, and ALL soda and beer. if you do not have a food scale, buy one and WEIGH EVERYTHING to the gram if possible, so you know exactly what you are eating, don't starve yourself.
example, when i first started out, and got a food scale, i put my plate on it, zeroed it out, then made a sandwich the same way i would normally, weighing each ingredient as i went, bread/mayo/turkey/cheese/ whatever.... yeah sounds ridiculous, but holy crap was i underestimating the calories i thought it was. after i got used to it, i could basically eye it and not even use the scale.0 -
I found a lot of good ones at the library & Netflix. Once you find ones you really like, Amazon has a LOT of them as used or new from other sellers for dirt cheap. Also, I've seen them at book sales where they're usually a couple bucks each, but you can't be as picky there!0

YouTube has some pretty great options. Lionsgate BeFit is probably my favorite for volume & diversity of options. I'm sure everyone can find something they like on that channel. And I think The Lean Machines channel would be great for dudes
If you have Amazon Prime, quite a few of the Jillian Michaels DVDs are available for free streaming via Amazon Instant Video.
And for the workouts that are shorter in length (10-15min range), I just do them twice in a row or two different workouts back-to-back if I'm wanting something more.0 -
Great ideas here. I like the idea of a program (not just doing same dvd over and over). I will check all those ideas out - thanks!0

Videos and workout plans and stuff like that would be a cool addition to this site.
WHAT ABOUT APP'S - I have seen some on your phone that lead you through a workout through the screen and headphones -- any good recommendations?0 -
Youtube has a lot of full exercise videos. Is there one you are looking for in particular?0

I tried Dailyburn, and I loved the variety available for $10/month. I tried it a free month trial that I think they still have going on. I like fitness bender too.0
