Injured foot...Alternatives to running?

For a while now, I've been having some pain in my feet whenever I press off in my stride while running. Last week, the pain got 400% worse and now is present even when I'm just walking or sitting down. Turns out I have metatarsalgia most likely from my old, worn out pair of shoes.

So now, I'm stuck here sidelined from running for at least 2 weeks, although I'd like to wait until I can get some new shoes (currently at college in the country, would like to wait to go shopping at home in the city). I get bored silly whenever I do the stationary bike/elliptical at the gym, so I'm wondering if anyone has some suggestions for low-impact full body cardio exercises?

You can do most strength training exercises. That fits well with your goals of fat loss and fitness. Try New Rules of Lifting for Women, or Zuzka Light's site. Just lay off the lunges, burpees, etc.
