Today I Cried...

I have a hard time being in touch with my feelings sometimes.
Today however was different, my husband made me cry.
He insisted I get out of the kitchen and away from the dishwasher and sink to come watch a television show with him.
They were featuring this...
When the guy was building it and describing the kinds of cheese he used for the grilled cheeses that replace buns, and showing the size of the patty I realized this might be genius. When he told about letting the meat rest I thought "oh of course so the grilled cheeses don't get soggy" and when he repeated that almost verbatim, a lump formed in my throat.
Then when he went further to include onions I was like this guy might be a saint.
When he told about how it doesn't have "bacon" but five slices of bacon I realized I was watching art.
As he assembled it and I was in awe of the masterpiece wet water came out from my eyes. I was a gonner.
Beautiful art always touches me. Food art, even more so.

I may have shed a tear myself. You sharing this experience with us made me very emotional, and i'm not even anywhere near getting my period.

thanks amber. it's called the "sasquatch" and they had it on a show called i forgot what.
all i remember is it's in scottsdale arizona and i'm in LA. i'd need to fly to try it and don't think I won't.
I already logged it on a random day on my food diary as the narrator said its 1995 calories.
I can make room for that.
It's worth it to me.
To try it.

Apparently according to the poster following you that might be called a "tear".

If they play it on an acoustical guitar I will be roll bawling on my belly. I'm a sucker for those.0 -

it's like a blockbuster award winning movie.
"i laughed, i cried".0 -
Why did they put a tomato and (cringe) iceberg lettuce on such a thing of beauty?
It's like Chris Hemsworth dressed as Thor with a big booger sticking out of his nose.0 -
so far i know it was a half pound burger but i don't know the percent of it.
i beleive there were 3 slices of cheese on each grilled cheese and 3 more for the burger itself.
cheddar
swiss
something else.
then there was lettuce, tomato and mayo.
then there were 5 slices of bacon.
i have no idea what kind of bread but he rolled it across a butter roller thing and it looked like clarified butter like a teaspoon per slice so like 4 teaspoons.
tomorrow i will log all these things and figure out how to log the fried onions.
really i just care to know the protein and iron but i know some will want to know the carbs so maybe my friends here in scottsdale can find out the kind of bread it's on.0 -

they put those things b/c the inspiration was grilled cheeses, cheeseburger, and BLT.
that's why.

So when you order yours make sure you specify NO VEGGIES unless they are FRIED! Please and thank you.
(I strongly suggest you do not mention boogers).0 -

If you saw him make it on TV you would want to sleep next to it at night and change your last name to sasquatch.0 -

Looks like swiss in the top bun, cheddar on the burger. Provolone on the bottom? Yum.0 -
