I've started to handle my cheat days better.

So, when I first started losing weight and had a cheat day that week the next day I would eat unhealthy and it would carry on till the next week! I used to say to myself 'oh don't worry you can start again tomorrow ' (HOW STUPID OF ME?!). Anyway I initially started to want to lose weight since summer 2013 and binging would effect my determination, months went by and it wasn't since November I realised that I need to control myself! Now I have a cheat day once a week and the next day I am so determined to have 6 good days of food that on my cheat day I don't even feel guilty!

I also have learnt to control myself a bit more, my lovely husband eats a lot of junk in front of me and it used to annoy me before as I THOUGHT I could not control myself. However what I started doing is leaving the unhealthy food in front of me and refrain from consuming it and this has really worked for me as I have gained control. Also someone told me once if you want something you shouldn't eat- eat it in front of the mirror.

So yes that was my story and just wanted to say that you can a cheat day or cheat meal and control yourself, I mean if I could do it anyone can!

Personally, I'm not much of a fan of the concept of "cheats", either "cheat meals" or "cheat days", as I would rather work whatever treats I choose to consume into my regular eating plan. However, what works for one person does not necessarily work for another.

Congratulations on determining a system that works for you.
