I have been using MFP on and off for ages now but I cannot seem to stick to healthy eating. I feel so good when I do stick to my calorie allowance and have all intentions of sticking to it and losing weight but then I have an off day where I might eat more than I am allowed or something I shouldn't really be eating and then it all falls apart. Its all or nothing......I need more will power HELP!!!!
Anyone else feel the same??

I think you will find most have gone through this. It's a mental game. Iv fallen off many times, but I got back on and kept pushing towards my goals. You then one that's go the power, you just need to use it. Either you want it or you don't. If you want it stick to the plan and stay on it.0

This is me EVERY time I sign up to Myfitnesspal again. When I make a mistake one day, my problem is I think "Well, I ruined my calories for today, might as well keep eating!" which is not a good way to go about it. Then I have to get myself to start all over again, which ends up taking a few days. I have recreated new accounts just because I wanted a fresh start, but they all end up being thrown away because of one or two bad days. I am pretty bad at that. I think the problem is I let it fall apart when I could just accept that I've gone over a day, deal with it, and start fresh the next day, just get some more exercise in rather than moping for a few days.
I think it is always better when you have friends on here, because they help with that. Oi, I need some...0 -
One bad eating day won't make you fat just like one good day won't make you skinny. Even the fittest people have bad days. It has been proven that we only have so much willpower to go around. The best thing you can do is to remove the temptations. For me its potato chips. If I know they are in the house I will find a reason why I need to eat them. So if my hubby brings them in I throw them away.
Try your best and if you fall get back up and keep going. You will start to have more good days than bad and soon you will see the results you have been working for.0
