So impressed with Target's food section!

It's been a long time since I shopped at Target, especially for food. I was under the impression that it was mostly highly processed foods and not the kinds of things I would want to buy. On my recent shopping trip I decided to check out the food section, and was pleasantly surprised. They have their own brand of organic products? Organic dairy products, frozen fruit and veggies, dried fruit, granola, tea, pasta, etc!

If you haven't ever checked out their food section, it's worth a look for healthy organic basics. Wouldn't do all my grocery shopping there, but would totally stock up on milk and frozen fruit and veggies, among others.

    Unfortunately Target is extremely overpriced.

I agree, some of their stuff is overpriced, but they are much cheaper in terms of Milk and dairy as compared to Wal-Mart (at least in my area).

But yes their selection ROCKS! I love it!

I do like that they have organic options available, but I've had bad luck with the freshness of the produce at my local Target. It usually goes bad within a day or two.
Their dried fruit selection is good and reasonably priced. Love the dried mangos.

You must have a better Target in your city or maybe you live in the US? In Canada many of us were excited for Target to open! However from the beginning they have had huge shelving issues and most of the time their shelves are bare :/ Was going to buy some spaghetti sauce there cause it was on sale, but every time I looked they were out of the product! The "sale" tag was up for about 3 weeks but nothing was on the shelf that whole time! I often walked around looking for other items and again wherever it said "sale" nothing was on the shelf (regardless of the day of the week). The food section in general is severely lacking and it IS all processed here :/ I'll stick to Walmart and the grocery store.

    Target Canada is failing :/

We love Target and I always save a TON on. Way cheaper than my local grocery store. You can use their Cartwheel app for additional savings. It stacks with store coupons, manufacturer coupons and mobile coupons. May not save a ton at once, but it adds up. I've saved almost $100 since I started using it. If you're not using it, check it out! The Up and Up line is also fantastic (for things like paper towels, hand soap, etc.)

I love their Simply Balanced products too! Their quinoa is waaay cheaper than you can get at the grocery store and last time I was there, their bulk Greek yogurt was 2/$5. It's definitely not my one stop shop for groceries, but if I watch the sales and use the cartwheel app, I can get some stuff considerably cheaper than other places.

Love the Simply Balanced brand of organic spaghetti sauce. I was impressed. And it was on sale too.
