Just want to say hello to every one on site. I am looking to lose at least 40 to 50 pounds. Have tried just about every diet I could get my hands on only to lose interest....well, become bored with the food choices really.....I need variety. I have done the pills (NOT a good idea), fad diets, (again, NOT a good idea). I like "real" food. That's the problem....I like it WAY too much!

Just looking for some people like me who want to lose the weight at a healthy rate and improve their lives. Share recipes, ideas and maybe just talk about how to stay really focused.

Welcome to MFP! You don't have to do a fad diet. You can eat real food and reach your goal. You just need to pay attention to your calorie count and that can be done here. Good luck on reaching your goal.

    Hi,

I think you will find by logging your food every day that this really helps keep you focused. You can eat real food as long as you stay within your totals for each day. I also find that cheat meals help. I allow myself one day a week that I can eat a cheat meal. It really is all about a lifestyle change. We just have to learn how to eat healthier. And by doing so I find that I can eat less and be full and not feel like I am depriving myself.

I also was really bad about processed food and once I stopped eating that so much the weight started coming off again. So watch your processed foods too.

I love this site and think you will too.

    Nancy
