  • Steak fajitas... Lean steak cut into strips, sautéd with peppers, onion, and any other veggies you like and fajita seasoning. I use whole wheat tortillas, salsa and even some Low fat sour cream

I make pulled pork in the slow cooker using pork tenderloin - it's a lot leaner than a pork butt roast and it doesn't end up dry (I usually add about a half can of coke or dr. pepper and some bbq sauce) I know soda :noway: but something about it works :ohwell:

Flank steak, OMG yummmmm! the key is to keep it a little rare and cut thin slices against the grain of the meat

I make a Chipotle Black Bean Turkey Meatloaf with Adobo Sauce. Or you can modify it for stuffed peppers. You could take the same mixture and form a thumb size portion, put it in 1/2 of a jalepeno, wrap with bacon. Tastes great

Unless your doctor says to cut back other meat, you don't need to avoid it. I have to reduce carbs due to health issues but I buy pork chops, I buy steaks with as little fat as possible. I buy ground beef at 93/7 ratio. I do use some 80/20 depending on what I'm making. Just measure, watch portion size, cook in smaller amounts of olive oil or grill it or broil it to avoid having it sit in any extra fat. It really just comes down to making sure you are not overeating and using healthier cooking methods.
