Why does everything have so much sodium!

I try to eat "whole foods" as often as possible, but when i am on the go I do like to take something prepackaged, the only problem is that everything has so much sodium. Any suggestions for easy on the go meals/snacks?

    part of the indusry and what consumers like (plus it adds to longer shelf life)

    the best answer is to make your own snack packs to grab on the go, on the weekend chop up a bunch of veggies and put them in ziplocks so you can grab them on the go
    yogurt
    string cheese
    nuts
    cheese and crackers
    hummus for veggie or crackers

    Don't fret over sodium unless you have a medical issues that hinders your intake of it.

    Water flushes it out anyhow.




    But anyways, a good protein bar is always on point for me, lightly salted almonds... a muscle milk or protein drink from a gas station.
