..for the day but I'm so freakin full from all of the water and fiber i've been eating today.
Going to the movies later on and don't want to do too much "damage" there.
What can i eat for dinner/snack that's somewhat healthy but will get to me to my calorie goal (1,800)?
Or should i eat at the theater?

That's funny, your diary is empty and has a calorie goal of 1200...0
-
I don't use the app for MFP to track, i use Jawbone UP (Since i have the bracelet to go with it)
MFP put me at 1,200 but i've been told by some of the posters to eat more and to not do 1,200 calories.
And it's been working for me. Fits my TDEE/BMR
What's so funny about that?0 -
Oh man, 1000 calories AND going to movies!?! I'd TOTALLY get popcorn.0
-
Just eat a normal dinner.
Salad and an omelet
Grilled meat/fish and roasted vegetable(s)
Stir fry and a little rice.
Pasta with a tomato/meat sauce and a little cheese.
Stew
Chili and cornbread
<insert meal you enjoy>0 -

No way. I'd be all over the ice cream (200-300 cals per scoop). Fewer calories than anything bigger than the teeny bag of popcorn AND tastier. Plenty of room left for a nice dinner. Win, win.0 -
Popcorn, regular coke and some chocolate should do nicely. :P0

Well, because I was going to look at your diary to see where you were lacking your macro goals. If you were lacking in protein, I would have suggested to eat something with a lot of protein. If you met that macro, then by all means, grab the popcorn.
To me at least, that seems to be the most sensible approach.0 -
I would save some calories for the theatre for sure (you know you are going to want it once you are there) if you need something to tide you over have a small snack (yogurt, fruit, fresh veg)0
-
If I had 1000 calories left and hadn't had dinner plus I was going to the cinema I would be more worried about going over
Eat a normal dinner then you have options when you are out, popcorn is great as are nuts :-)0 -
Dinner. Meat, potato with butter and gravy, veggies.0

Oh, ok! I wish i liked the MFP diary more but the UP app is so much more simple.
I have about 89grams of protein and 57 grams of carbs so far.
Might eat fish/veggies for dinner and have some popcorn later
thank you for the suggestions!0 -

^^^ Totally this!!! Yum!
Sometimes eating stuff like this as a "meal" is so much more satisfying ... esp if you got the cals and not really feelin' other "meal" foods.0 -
1000 calories left? Split it up. Half at the theater and half for dinner. Split a medium bag of popcorn (450 cals) and 550 on dinner. Best of both worlds0

Few of these oughta do the trick...

How is a hot dude going to use up 1000 calories...more likely to burn calories0 -
I volunteer to eat those calories for you. I'm a person for others like that0

Pint of beer and a double cheeseburger is going to be about 1100 calories. Or a pint of ice cream. One decent-sized brownie and a glass of milk. A single slice of cheesecake at Cheesecake Factory.
Finding 1000 calories isn't hard.0 -
Mmmm. Movie popcorn with lots of butter. Good god I wish I was you right now. Enjoy it for those of us who can't.0

You know you can sync jawbone up and mfp, right? That way whaterver you enter in one will go in the other. I don't recall off the top of my head how to do it but the information is out there (I believe on both websites).
And you can change all your MFP goals to match whatever settings you want.0 -

Lol.. you're funny.
Finding 1,000 calories isn't hard, no, not at all, but i wanted to be somewhat healthy with it just in case i went over. Haha
i don't like soda, beer or red meat that much. I'm weird..yes, i know this0 -

Yes, i actually was looking into that last night but my husband and i found out it's only for the fitness not nutrition. bummer!0 -

Really? When I entered all my food on MFP it synced to the UP app. I haven't used the app/bracelet since this summer and I didn't enter food on there since I already had MFP set up.0 -

if you keep your cals within your allowance, you wont do any "damage".
get a bucket of popcorn (extra 'butter') and some swedish fish.0 -

Fair enough.
Yeah, eat a 500 calorie dinner (easy enough) and then have some popcorn.
That's what I did on Monday when I took my sister to the movies.0 -
Haha, you can kill 1000 calories with movie popcorn and butter alone. Have fun!0

I'm jelly! I would use at least part of it for wine!
Sadly, I am out of calories today...0 -

If I'm not hungry, I don't eat, even if I am not at my goal. I figure there are enough days that I go over that there is no harm done. If it's a daily issue, then it could be a problem. But if I were you, I would just wait until I got hungry and be glad for the extra deficit.0

So, moar protein... I would be all over the ribs for dinner (but fish is fair game too), about 500-600 calories' worth, and then ice cream or popcorn at the movies. But since I don't like movie theatre popcorn very much, it would probably be the ice cream... unless I smuggled some in from home. Or Milk Duds. Hmmm, Milk Duds. Oh, the possibilities are endless. Save some calories from dinner and have fun with them. :drinker:0 -
I always use my extra calories for cheese or pasta...usually both!0
