Hi...wondering if anyone in the group knows of, or has used L Carnitine. Would appreciate any comments about your experience with this supplement. Thanks

I take it 3 times a day, one with breakfast, one with lunch and one just before I work out. Personally I love it and find my energy levels are higher when taking it0

Supplementation really isn't necessary because the body makes all that it needs. Clinical studies haven't shown ingesting it enhances performance or weight loss.Exercise Performance
Although carnitine is often taken to boost exercise performance, there is no evidence it works.
Weight Loss
Although L-carnitine has been marketed as a weight loss supplement, there is no scientific evidence to show that it works. Some studies do show that oral carnitine reduces fat mass, increases muscle mass, and reduces fatigue, which may contribute to weight loss in some people.

Often any results you experience with these kinds of things are placebo effects. You may *feel* more energized but likely it's just your brain messing with you combined with the fact that you're eating healthier. Not worth wasting your money.0

L-Carnitine is nothing more than an amino acid supplement.
It can have some minor ability to make you more alert, but only noticeable if you are amino deficient from being vegetarian or under-eating. If you're getting plenty of amino acids in your diet, your body naturally produces enough L-Carnitine, and any additional will be converted into primarily non-usable forms.0 -

Hi! I am looking for advice as to whether I should include it in my diet or not. I do workouts, and sometimes it is hard to keep up the right pace to reach my goal; I can hardly ever run for more than 10min. I've read a lot of reviews where it was stressed that L-carnitine helped to burn more calories. I would like some testimony from members of this community0
