Jillian Michaels Making the Cut Meal Plan?

I just recently checked this book out from the library and thought why not give it a shot! I have only about 10, maaayyybbeee 15 more lbs to loose and really just looking to tone. However, while going through her meal plan some of the recipes are just too much for me. I really cant afford to buy sword fish and some of the other things listed there. (Also, I live at home with a mom that cooks for dinner for the family and I cant really expect her to buy all these crazy things listed!)

Is there an alternative to some of her recipes? Or can I just mix up the meal plan with the meals provided that I can afford and make for myself?
