Hello! My name is Cassandra. I am a full time college student SE of Houston, Texas. I also work part time as a vet tech for the past year. My previous job was a medical administrative assistant, which required most of my time sitting. Being a college study I am doing most sitting already in class and studying. I wanted to change my life and become a healthier, happier me. I signed up for 2 physical ed classes at college this semester to help motivate me and keep me on track. Can't fail a class. One class is walking and the other is fitness health. I am now starting to take this serious and work hard to meet my goals. I am also in a relationship and he isn't the healthiest person either, so hopefully seeing me and my new habits will motivate him. I'm also the one who cooks in the house so he'll have to deal with food changes. lol..
Anyway, I am going to start keeping more up to on this diary thing and looking at more inspiration for workouts. Its hard to keep my attention for long so a different work out is a must, same with music. I'm always open to feedback and hope to make new friends. When I say a happier me, I love to eat. I eat alot more when I'm depressed. I also love to sleep. It takes alot of energy to get out of bed daily to do normal things. I know this is signs of depression and I have had depression throughout my life. Its just gotten worse in the last year and my weight has increased even more dramatically that I'm fed up with it. I was diagnosed with PCOS 4 years ago. I want to have a family one day. I have to get fit in order for that to happen.
I hope everyone has a great day!

Welcome to MFP. There are a host of free apps out there to help with fitness, from cardio to crossfit. However, while you gain gain muscle in the gym you lose weight in the kitchen.
Get a digital scale to get an accurate weight of what your are eating, be truthful in your diary and make every day count.
You have taken the first step, now you just have to keep on walking0
