Whenever I do push ups my elbows make a cracking noise every push up! and when I do bicycle sit ups or scissor leg lifts my hips make a cracking noise its not really painful just sounds weird and I'm worried if that's normal or not?

I sometimes get that if my form isn't correct or if I'm not flexing my muscles enough. The hip thing happens only on my left side. But again, if I focus on my form and go slower, it definitely helps. I take hyalouronic acid too and that seems to have helped. I take it for my skin more than anything, but my joints do feel a bit more "slippery" now. I try to get it from food sources like sweet potatoes and berries, and I've heard bone broth is good too. But I haven't tried that one.

    Edit typo.

What does the acid do for the skin?

It's normally used topically to help with dehydrated skin, mostly in serums. I have pretty dry dehydrated skin. I tried taking it orally to see if it helped (there were claims that it did, but nothing has been proven), and it definitely did for me.
