For the sake of discussion, ASSUME I'M NOT TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT. I'm just trying to be a more efficient athlete.
I know there is research about eating carbs after a work out and protein 2+ hours later (your muscles more receptive to the protein if you eat carbs immediately after). Eating protein before you go to bed is helpful in repairing muscle tissue. And eating breakfast makes you less likely to become insulin resistant.
But does anyone know of any other studies about when to eat specific macro nutrients?
I'm training really hard for climbing and I'm trying to make my body an efficient machine! So any little help I can give it I think will help me reach some of my bigger goals.
