Hi all,
I am exercising up to 7 hour long sessions per week, I am eating 1500 calories per day, and my weight is not moving at all. My measurements are not changing, my clothes are not getting looser, I don't know what I am doing wrong.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

What are your stats? Are you weighing and logging your food consistently? How are you tracking your calorie burn? How long has it been?0

What the heck are you doing if you're exercising for seven hours? Seems a little excessive....0

Asking the same question as everyone else... How long have you been at it? There is an adjustment period so if you've only been at it for a couple of weeks or even a month, you most likely won't see any big changes yet. After you get beyond the first 30 days, you should see some real changes.0

Your body is trying to tell you something! You are unknowingly producing too much cortisol (stress hormone) thru excessive exercise and your body is compensating by trying to survive. 30-45 min 4-5x per week is just right for the amount of calories you're taking in. Try decreasing to 2 weight sessions, 3-4 cardios (30 min) and a yoga class to relieve stress.0

I have been calorie counting consistently for about 5 weeks. Exercising the same, had a couple of weeks break over christmas/new year, but prior to that was going for run/jog every morning for 5 km and doing weights at least three times.
According to the BMI i fall into the overweight category, i have at least 10kg to lose, until i am back to the weight i generally sit comfortably at.
I weigh and measure my food as well0 -
Exercise is a circuit class mix of weights and cardio, I also do a hill walk 2-3 times per week. It is very hard to not get discouraged when i have a bit of weight to lose, and the challenge i am in, people all around me are dropping kg's and i am not moving0

I have found that as I get older, my "plateau" occurs right at the beginning of the weight loss...which is very discouraging since I would be working hard and not seeing much of an immediate result. For now, you may want to focus on how you feel rather than how much you weigh. If you are working out regularly, you should feel yourself getting stronger with more endurance!0

I don't know if this will help, but I used to exercise a hour a day 5x a week and ate about 1500 a day, but I never saw the scale move. When I stopped exercising that much, now I just walk or do light cardio and eat 1200 a day and that is when I started to lose the weight.
I've lost almost 10lbs, 1/2 my goal.
It's counter to what a lot of people say, but I had no fat loss while lifting. You just have to see what works best for your body.0 -
Me too... just going to keep plodding along and wait... if I'm still waiting next month I will have to consider visiting my dr or changing up my exercise or diet.0

lets calculate actual BMR and TDEE
what is your
-height
- age
- you workout 6-7xweek
on a side note
- it takes a good 12weeks to see results and sometimes 6months
- calorie intake also matters even if you count calories.
be patient, dont get discourage, just keep on pushing!0
