Bottle of 13% Red Wine - what's the calorie truth?

Hi, I've looked on the MFP food database and a bottle of red wine seems to range from 500- 690. But I've gone on the NHS website and the DrinkAware website and they say more like 960 for a bottle.

Does anyone know the definitive truth of how many calories are in a 750ml bottle of 13% red wine. Thanks. I really need to know as it's messing with my tally.

Depends on the sugar content, but a 13% wine is unlikely to have much in the way of sugar.

The maths, on the basis of no sugar is:
Size of vessel multiplied by the percentage: 750ml * 13% = 97.5ml alcohol
Alcohol weighs less than water (about 0.8g per ml) 97.5ml * 0.8g/ml = 78g alcohol
    1g alcohol has 7kcals = 78g * 7kcals/g = 546kcal in one 750ml bottle of red wine.

Red wine normally has a bit more carbohydrate than white, but we're only talking 50kcal or so more, not 400kcal more.

(ETA because I'm a fool and can't math, obviously!!!)
