Hi are my calories correct on my fitness pal the reason I’m asking is because I workout 4 times a week quite active walking i weigh 22.10 6ft4 mfp says I should eat 2300 a day other sites I’ve come across say i should eat 3000 plus i can manage quite easy on 2300 most days I’m not doing above 2000 . I’m not losing weight of any significant amount , my pt coach who is world class ifb pro bodybuilder says i should eat more for the size of me.im not training to be a bodybuilder just to get fit and toned up and be healthy , one day a week on a Sunday i eat whatever i want as a treat BUT i then put on maybe 3 to 5 lbs for a few days my Sunday calorie intake for the day will be around 4000 maybe 5000 most Sundays , i have lost 98lbs need to break the 100lb barrier this weekend , i seem to be go through this cycle where i may lose 2lb in a week then put 5 back on lose that and maybe another 1lb every week with this treat cycle !!! what’s your thoughts people thanks in advance Dave

MFP uses the NEAT method. So if it set you at 2300 calories a day that is without exercise. You log exercise and eat them back (usually 50-75%) because they are overestimated usually.
What you need to be careful of is the entries...try not to choose the ones that start with generic or homemade or an *....those are user entered and no guarantee they are right...mind you check the confirmations and nutrional data to make sure. If you can't find an entry make one...just edit and exisitng one.
Typically MFP calories + exercise Calories =TDEE-20%0 -
Are you weighing your food? You would be amazed at your actual intake if you are not. When I started weighing my food I lost 1 lb in just 4 days. And your Sundays, do you eat what you want all day or just one meal? I used to do the same thing before I started MFP. I am a firm believer in allowing yourself to indulge, imo, you are less likely to binge but if it is having a negative effect then you might need to limit yourself a little bit.0
