I really, really need to invest in an HRM. Any suggestions for which one I should get?

I just bought a Polar FT7 and I love it. It does everything I need it to do and isn't overly complex.0

Garmin ForeRunner 405 CX here. HRM + GPS tracker. If you are an outdoor runner, it's definitely a good buy.0

I agree with this as well. I already had a Garmin Forerunner 10 for GPS (which I also love) so I just needed the HRM function. If I didn't have either, I would have bought one that had both functionalities instead.0

The FT7 is pretty awesome or you can just buy the bluetooth aware strap and use it with a GPS program on your phone. Amazon sells it for a lot less than the Polar website does.0

I too have the POlar FT7 and love it. Super easy to use!0

If swimming then waterproof is important!
If outdoors (cycling, trail running) then GPS is handy.
How accurate do you need it to be? Might be worth investing in a higher end one with VO2 max settings if you want/need a bit more accuracy.
If just general mixed use in gyms then a mainstream brand like Polar that is compatible with most machines makes a lot of sense.0
