If you are trying to lose(not maintain) and you go over calories, (like 450 cals over.) do you guys add 450 cals to the day after to try to make up for it, or do you just forget about it and move on? Thing is, I know i'll be over calories on Sunday (I always set Sunday cals to maintenance because it's a rest day and there's no way I can eat 1270 cals without working out) and I've been doing so well lately. I don't want to mess it up!

Just stick to normal tomorrow. One day of 450 calories won't hurt you, at all.

I try to stay within a weekly goal...that means trying to stay within my daily goals..not going to low not going to high.

But that being said weight loss isn't dependent on one day or even two...it's a culmination of all the days put together...

As long as you are in a deficet consistently you will lose weight.

and to your last statement...1270 calories as maintenance? or did I not understand what you mean....

I usually take the calorie hit and move on, but I'll try to have a lighter day the next day.

I just log it for the day it's supposed to and move on. Christmas and New Year's I was well over 1k of my usual goal. Consistency long term is better than punishing yourself over a day of overindulgence.
