As you lose weight and log your losses does MFP calculate your calories automatically as the weight goes down? My sister says you have to go into settings and change your weekly loss, then change it back to the original loss and then it gives you a new daily intake. She did this for me yesterday as i lost 1lb and have gone down 40 calories.

I believe it reduces your calories by your weight, IF you're going by MFP's calculation.

I use my own personal BMR/TDEE-20% calculation so I manually set my calorie goals and adjust for every 5 pounds or so I lose.

I'm pretty sure MFP adjusts your calories as you record your losses. Not sure though why you change it back.

For every ten pounds that I have lost (or gained unfortunately) MFP suggests that I update my goals. When I do that it changes my calorie intake.

It does every 10 pounds. So I wouldn't worry about it until it prompts you to see if you want to change it. It says something like "would you like MFP to re-evaluate your daily intake blah blah" and just hit yes. Congrats on your loss!
