what is the best combo, ratio for weight loss?

basically , what ratio should you do to loose weight but keep/build muscle.
should it be 50% cardio / 50% weights , ie
3 days cardio a week , and 3 days doing weights a week, alternating,
or is there a better ratio ?

im wanting to loose the fat but put on some muscle
