Newbie starting my journey towards lifting!

Hi
So this year was officially the year that I told myself I am finally going to get up off of my lazy bum & start officially working out.
I'm currently a graduate student, working towards my Master's in neuropsychology, & have plans to then go on to get my Ph.D., so that (sadly) does leave very little room in my day for working out, especially since I have a part time job as well.
But, I want to start lifting. Granted, I'm not very strong right now, but I was a former athlete when I was a couple years younger, so those 10 years of soccer surely haven't gone away from my body totally, & I think I can get back into shape with some hard work
Anyone who is looking to get stronger, I'd love to be your friend
I need as much guidance & help understanding the realm of lifting, especially for females, so anything is appreciated.

I'm wanting to get into the habit of strength training as well. If you don't mind having an older MFP friend, feel free to add me. I try to post every day. I am currently participating in a boot camp and am committed to my weight loss goal as well and my determination to make strength training a part of my routine. I don't like doing it. I find it boring. But that's no excuse. And I think my other MFP friends would say I am definitely encouraging.0

Oh wow a boot camp. That's impressive. I'm working towards being able to do that one of these days (even crossfit intimidates me a bit haha). Well I'm the opposite side of the coin in that I dislike cardio or anything of that nature yet love weight training, so at the very least we can be good motivations for what we don't enjoy haha. I would love to add you. Thanks for your post!
