Finall broke through a plateau

I stayed steady at 144-145 for about 6 months after my husband came home from his deployment, and had managed to be steady there before that also (I fluctuated while he was gone- stress stress STRESS lol).
Anywho, a few months ago my weight rolled up to 150, which happens to be my freak out weight. I grew up as a heavy kid, getting to 201 lbs, probably more, in high school. After I saw the 201, I stopped weighing myself, so I don't know how big I really got. After graduation I started working as a CNA, and with all that walking, over about a year I got down to 160, with dieting I made it down to 145. Seeing 150 on the scale reminds me of where I came from, where I don't want to go again.
So, I said that to say this; I lost 4-5 lbs in about 2 weeks, and then for about another 2 weeks I've been STUCK at 144.8-145.2. It has been frustrating, but I knew that my body was "used" to that weight, and getting used to my diet. Well, I stuck to it, and what do you know! I saw 143.8 on the scale this morning!! YES!!!
Six lbs down, 13 to go And to all those facing a large weight loss, I'm here to tell you it may be hard, but it is SOOO worth it!

AWESOME! I have been stuck for about 5 mo. and can't seem to break it. I guess I just have to hang in there. Good job and sticking it out and your determination! also, thank your husband for his service to our country! My husband is retired service and I can appreciate how stressful it is while they are gone.
Good luck and way to go!0 -
I feel your pain! I was always chubby growing up and I don't really remember what I weighed in highschool but I lost weight after it. I managed to keep it down for the most part but 150 is my freak out weight as well! That's when I started to become more strict in my lifestyle choices. But I've had two kids since then and with my first child it took me a year to lose the weight I gained with her, now it's a year later after having my son. A few months back I had lost a total of 18lbs and kept it off for two months, gained six back, lost the six pounds and I finally lost one more pound. Now I'm stuck again! And you're right, it is SO worth it!!0

That's awesome!! Way to stick with it. I seem to get very discouraged after I plateau for too long so it's great that you pushed through it.0

It's nice to hear that plateaus are not forever! I'm really hoping to break through mine someday. Congrats!! :flowerforyou:0

I know exactly how you feel. I have been stick at 193-195 for what seems like forever. Every week after busting butt, no change. Then finally this morning 190!
HAPPY DANCE!0
