slim fast to boost calories

I'm a 267lb (19 stone), 5ft '8'' 34 year old female MFP gives me a daily calorie goal of 2100 somedays this is fine others i find i can't eat all of them. Non exercising days i aim for 1800, exercise days i burn roughly 400 (wearing a heart rate monitor so pretty accurate) and aim to eat 2000. So my question is if you can't manage to eat all your calories is it ok to use them up by drinking a slim fast??
And do my calories sound right?

You didn't get 100 pounds overweight by not being able to eat 2100 calories. Not trying to be rude, I just cant stand the cop out BS about not being able to hit calorie goals.
And no, Slim Fast sucks, It's just canned chemicals and sugar. Have some peanut butter, or avocados, or nuts, or chocolate milk, or some of each instead, they're much better for you than whatever concoction P&G mixed up and poured into a can.

Hi Claire, congrats on losing 37 pounds!
I understand when you have food issues that you want to sort of "undereat." I've done that myself. I totally understand your question about SlimFast as well. Almost like if you have that, then it will fill you up and you won't be tempted to overeat. Done that too!
I don't know what your daily menus look like, but I would recommend that you eat clean. I'm telling you Claire, it's changed my life. If you want to have shakes, make them yourself - green smoothies, and smoothies with whey protein, fruit. I use Jay Robb. The first two weeks of Weight Watchers Simple Start , their new program is clean eating made simple. No points counting... You can pick up a copy of the WW intro booklet off of ebay if you don't want to attend meetings.
Eat your 2100 calories, even when you don't exercise. Be kind to your body and fuel it! Don't be afraid to eat, and when you do, eat clean. The cravings go away.

Agreeing with deesharee...if you want a shake to add to your calories make it yourself with real food. It will be much better for you!
I always have a selection of frozen fruit in my freezer, a nut butter in my pantry, yogurt and coconut water in my fridge so the possibilities for smoothies are pretty much endless. I'll also throw in whatever fresh produce I may have in the fridge or fruit bowl that meets my tastes for the day. Fruit is naturally more caloric so that will help you meet the calories limit, while also giving you the natural sources of vitamins and fiber.0 -
