Fasting! And feeling good

I am fasting today, and feeling good about it. It's my first voluntary fast in quite some time. Liquids only until I feel a real need for food, depending on my activity level today.

After making some poor food choices yesterday I just didn't feel right at the end of the day. Just before going to bed it hit me - I should fast. Take a vacation from calories and give my body a break.

The last few times I have fasted for medical reasons (all routine - I'm fine, thanks!), I felt really good for days afterwards. Yesterday was the first time *my body* seemed to be telling me to take a break from eating, without my being sick.

So overall, I consider this a good sign.
