Okay...so my goals this week:

I hear ya Cathy!!!! So the knee rehab guy told me that he wants me to wait to work out till next week and then work out hard to see what happens to my knee. I guess it's the test???? My weight is all over the place. Saturday i was 188 and today I was 184. It's just unreal. I am doing much better with water. Thank goodness. Well I am exhausted after today and am going to just chill.

I cannot believe my eyes :noway: lost three pounds this week after staying the same the past two! YAY!
Just noticed, I'm only 1 pound from my goal
at 145lbs I'll will be classed as healthy instead of overweight!!
I was really surprised to see those numbers because this week I had gone back to college, and had been slacking on the exercise a little :S Hopefully I'll see some numbers next week too

Gotta bump as I am traveling home today. Didn't eat horribly bad except for one whole day and then last nights dinner. But last night's dinner came back to revisit me in the middle of the night and all morning. And I still have a 7 hour car trip ahead of me. Nervous about my weigh-in tomorrow, but figure that's what vacations are for. I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of eating non "on the run" food and getting into exercising.

Well...I was not going to weigh- in, but I knew I had to be accountable and if I'm starting fresh, I need to know where I'm starting from. Honestly, 1/2 pound gain is much less than I thought it would be. I really thought I had gained at least 5 pounds. So, I really can't complain too much. Now...it's time to get myself back to normal!
MOTIVATION::
October 23rd: Race for the Cure 5K, Goal: 159 pounds (lose 8 pounds)
March: Vacation to Texas...would LOVE to be more comfortable in a swimsuit!, Goal: 150 pounds (lose 17 pounds)

Good morning all,
I weighed this morning and I am saying that I am still at 209, now for 3 weigh-ins in a row (even though I teetered at 207.5 last week to this week). My brother is now back to AZ and off my couch! I had started 30d shred, but with a week off I decided to start over. Hopefully I will get back on top of things!
Kristen-how are you shredding? Everyday? When are you moving up to L2? I could really use some advise? And congrats to your little 1yr old!

Lauren--The first time I did Shred (which was earlier this summer) I had GREAT results! I did it everyday. The first week I lost like 6 pounds! I did around 8 days at level 1, then about the same at level 2, and then moved onto level 3. The first week is the hardest...getting your body used to it. I've heard of people in the past doing like 6 days on, one day off, and so on. I am shooting for everyday. It's only 25 minutes...I really have no excuses. If I do end up missing a day, it's okay. I'm just SO needing to see some results again! We could definitely motivate each other! Are you starting again today? I only started back yesterday, so we would be about the same place! Let me know!!0

Kristin....I started back today! I know that if I can stick to it, it will be great. That is awesome the progress you made with it the first time. My only problem is I had surgery on my wrist and the beginning of August, so I have problems with the push-ups. I have come up with a way that I can mock them. I def. agree with you that it there should be no problem doing it everyday. I can only work out in the mornings, so my challenge is giving myself enough time to have myself ready and overseeing my daughter that she is on-task! I think that I am going to enjoy it and hopefully shred some good results. I would like to be pretty close to my goal weight by Christmas, just in time for my husband to spoil me with new clothes.
I also have a question for everyone...between all of you maybe someone can help. Since being on MFP, working out and staying as close to my my problem area-lower belly had gotten gigglely (spelling??). I am thinking and hoping that maybe my belly fat is breaking down, but I am not sure. Any suggestions? I ask my DH, but he just looks at me crazy:noway:0 -

Hey all.....
So I'm kind of mad/annoyed/disappointed with myself. As a few of you know, I was doing really well, down about 15 lbs. Well ever since I've started my new job, i've been gaining. almost 5 lbs. now. Granted I have tried to up my exercise by joining the Y and i've tried to watch what I eat, but with all the lunch and dinner meetings, it gets really hard. Any of you have any advice on what you do to try and eat healthy when you don't really have a lot of control over the menu?
I've picked out a bunch of classes at the Y to try to motivate myself. We have Zumba starting in October! I can't wait!
Lauren - I did the Shred when I started and that is definitely how I lost most of it!! Unfortunately i live on the second floor of an apartment building now, so I feel bad doing any sort of jumping around and exercising. That's probably silly but its true!!0 -
p.s. Does anyone know anything about "mindful eating"? I've been seeing a lot about it later and I'm looking at a couple books about it and i'm wondering if any of you know any good resources.0

Lost 1 pound this week. It's funny, sometimes it doesn't feel like a lot when looking at it from the standpoint - 1 lb in a whole week??? But when I look at the start, I have lost quite a bit so far. I like the big picture much better. I'm starting to get into a slump though and feeling less motivated.I'm sick of eating so healthy! It's no fun... Ok that was me whining. I'm better now.

Hi guys. Finally back home. Going to weigh in on Friday this week and give my body a couple of days of readjustment to a "normal" life after having ridden in a car and not had my "regular" routine.
I couldn't have come back to work any sooner as my supervisor's uncle died, which means she will be taking off. So busy, busy. But I'll be glad for normalcy here. Vacation is fun, but there's a reason why it's just a vacation.

Last night was great! I did my shred, got in my 2 mile run, and went on a 30 minute walk with my husband, daughter and dogs! It was great! And I resisted the normal evening snacking! Had only the planned evening snack! What a successful day!! Hoping today is the same!

Kristin...I shred in the morning, so I am L1D2. I am also very sore. My arms are feeling it more today! You know what is funny, the 1st set of jumping jacks/ jumping rope I struggle and my feet hurt so bad, but then when the 2 set at the very end when you are doing all 4 in a row, I can zoom through those with no problem.....get up the good work!
Amy...I hear ya about the 2nd floor. When I lived in an apartment I was on the 2nd floor as well and the people below me started *****ing when I was moving my stuff in. I knew from then on it was going to be horrible! But yes I am very excited to hopefully see LOTS of results! The only advise I can give you on your eating out, try to stay away from bread and get your salad dressing on the side. It is amazing how much less dressing you use!!

Lost some, in a rut right now for some reason. Been going back and forth from 207 to 209. Can't get my balance. I talked to my trainer and he told me I need to concentrate on getting my protein up and adding in more veggies. So, I will have to do some grocery shopping and get me some new stuff. Hopefully I can get out of this rut soon, want to weigh less than 200 by Dec. for my birthday.

Shanell...I'm sure you'll break out of your rut! Adding in more protein should definitely help! I used to buy some chocolate protein powder and make some yummy protein-filled shakes! You can use a frozen banana, some skim milk, strawberries, yogurt, whatever. It's super yummy!

It's been 4 months since my last post. Holy Moly!!! I will wait until the next 6 weeks to start, but I needed to go ahead and post and start making this a priority.
I had my baby 3 weeks ago, so I can't do a whole lot in the way of exercise right now (besides light walking) but I can start setting up healthy routines now.
I have missed you ladies and look forward to getting back in the groove.0
