How long can Mahi Mahi stay good in the fridge?

Question. I've never had mahi mahi before so I have no clue. I bought it frozen at Target and it didn't defrost fast enough for me to cook it so I put it in the fridge on the 3rd late at night and I haven't gotten around to cooking it yet. Do you think it would be safe to eat? It's still sealed in the vacuum sealed bag it came in.

Open it and smell it. I wouldn't use it for sushi but if it smells fine it should be fine if cooked.0

ehh, depends how cold the fridge is. The longest I've let fish in the fridge is usually 4 days and I haven't noticed any odd smells. But I keep my fridge cold, just above freezing.0

Well, I really only buy my fish "fresh" and I will either cook it or freeze it by the next day.0

If it smells fine, it should be OK to eat.
One way to quickly defrost fish and other meats is to soak it in cold water. Most things take about 1/2 hour to defrost, though thicker cuts can take longer.0
