"You are eating too little"-warning on MFP

How does it determine what is too little? Is it based on an individual level, taking height, current weight etc. into account, or is it just a certain set of calories that makes that warning pop up?

I don't think it's net - I had one day with no excersize where I got that message, and then the next day, I ate more, but worked out so that the net calories were lower than the day before - and no message.

Plus, what if someone is really short and inactive? Sure there are a lot of people where 1200 is not too little

MFP isn't that sophisticated - it's 1200 regardless. Makes a mess of the "eating back" math too.

Not to mention the part where it often overestimates calories burned while exercising.
