Fitbit and MFP question

I am apoligizing ahead of time if this question has been posted before. I have a fitbit and have synced it with MFP. Am I suppose to also add the workout calories onto my fitness pal or is it included in the fitbit which is then added. It seems really low. For instance I burned 518 calories walking along with an additional 200 in circuit training yesterday but non of that was posted from my fitbit onto MFP. Is there someone out there who could shed some light on this for me. Thanks!

The fitbit isn't good at calculating calories for weightlifting.
The 5 miles of walking should have given you at least a few hundred calories. Did you remember to sync?
Remember, it's only going to give you credit for the EXTRA calories burnt through walking. So if it took you two hours to walk five miles for 500 calories but you would have burned 300 calories anyway from just sitting, then you only get credit for 200 extra calories, which makes sense if you think about it. A lot of people overcount their calorie burn because of this issue.
So I would leave the walking as-is but add in extra for the circuit training. (I just use the fitbit #s myself to keep it simpler)0 -
Thanks! I just notices another post about the fitbit after I posted mine. I appreciate your feedback. I was hoping to be able to add. But I don't want to over estimate either. I think I'll rely on the fitbit.0
