issues with hypoglcemia and prepackaged meals

Okay, so my broken foot is healed and now I'm trying to work out an hour a day cardio plus some weights at least every other day. it's been about two weeks and I am rapidly gaining weight!
My stomach is clearly bigger, my pants don't fit and I have gone from a size 11/12 to a size 13. I feel disgusting! I knew I gained from the four months of a broken foot but now I have hypoglycemia and I have to eat constantly to keep my blood sugar up. Well that's causing fatty to get fatter!
I've been to the dr and they were like oh, well, just keep snacks on you at all times, that's all you can do. So I carry granola bars with protein and orange juice everywhere i go. Well, the orange juice is a 100 calories and the granola bar is about 150-170 depending. I can't starve myself, because of the hypoglycemia and I work 12 hour shifts. It's incredibly hard to plan every meal to perfection but I'm going to try...
I was relying on prepackaged meals that were like lean cuisine or smart ones, to help with portion control and what not but I'm suspecting that they are making things worse because I'm getting bigger and I feel like this is so complicated. before I was taking organic soups to work and then making fish and rice and things, but it takes forever to plan all of these thing out. I thought by substituting like a meal once a day with a lean cuisine or whatever that it would help but it' s not. I'm desprate to lose weight. I am so sick of being fat! I'm finally able to work out again and I'm working hard but getting no where...

Cooking really helps. Soups, chilis are easy to make and take for lunch.
Not sure what you need to eat or not eat, but nuts, fruits and veggies are easy to transport for snacks.0
