Making some changes, but remaining a food lover!

Hi, my name's Ruby and I'm a 20 yr old law student about to move to Sydney, Australia. I've always been on the curvier side, but recently I've put on a bit more weight than I'm comfortable with. Previously, all I wanted to do was tone up (but I was too lazy to do anything about it!) but now I'm aware that I have to do something about losing the extra weight while I'm still young. I'm 5'5" and around 155lb (70kg) wanting to lose 22lb.
My life pretty much revolves around when I'm going to be eating next, and I do like to indulge in 'bad' food like pizza and chocolate occasionally, but the majority of the time I eat fresh produce and I enjoy cooking. I'm not going to give up eating those bad foods, and if I have a craving for something, I'm going to be kind to myself and let myself eat it. I'm done with feeling angry at myself for enjoying myself, and of course it's only going to be an occasional indulgence. But by me signing up to MFP, I'm just going to monitor what I'm actually eating and how much exercise I should implement, as well as surrounding myself by inspiration for recipes and weight loss with you guys!
I'm looking forward to making this a positive, enjoyable experience and making friends with similar goals!

Welcome to MFP! I like your post because I enjoy good food , but do not want to deal with high calories intake. I am still recovering from child birth weight drama. I believe in eating in moderation and exercise. Not interested to stick to any diet plans or diet tablets because I fear side effects. The journey is lighter when you have a strong support system and friends with same goals.0
