My loss this week was only .8 pounds. It's a loss. I don't know if that triggered my depression or what.. but I'm sitting here and feel horrible. I suffer from severe depression anyway, but the past few weeks I've been feeling really great. Maybe I just realized how far I have to go and that I hate myself so much for allowing myself to gain 100 lbs in the first place.

No motivation to exercise or do anything... ugh........

.8 is a great loss! I struggle with depression, too, and I find it's helpful to look forward, not backward. Don't beat yourself up for gaining weight. Focus on the positive steps you're taking now -- you've lost 16 pounds! That is awesome!

And if you can force yourself to exercise, it's likely to lift your spirits.

    Good luck to you.

I am not familiar with you or your size or situation but know this----IT ALL COUNTS! You want to talk about depression? Lets talk about a guy who spent more than half of his life being a firefighter, a paramedic, and a police officer only to have that taken away from him be being struck by a car in the line of dute and losing his left leg.
I could go on and on for hours about that but I am not the focus here, YOU ARE. ALL your victories will NOT be reflected on the scale. Embrace the moments when you get a few extra glances and smiles from people noticing physical changes on you. A pair of pants or a blouse that is easier to button or zip up. Turning down a piece of cake for a yogurt or an apple. They all count. Many folks have many sayings and mine is 3P---pause, pray, push on. Keep your eye on the prize and ROCK ON!!!
