Calorie Counters

I've never used a calorie counter, but can someone give me some information (and if there are any other cool things I should get for fitness/dieting/losing weight lemme know)
- Does a calorie counter only count the amount you've burned, or will it also count all Additions (like food eaten) and subtractions (Exercise)
- How much does a good one cost?
- What's a good brand?
- Any other things I should know?

Depends on what your main use is. If you want to record the mount of calories you use day to day a fit bit or body media is what you need to look at. If though you just want to monitor calories from steady state cardio and want a training aid a heart rate monitor is what you need.0
