I log my food now for several month on MFP. Never even once I saw a number showing up on the Trans Fat. To my surprise I saw the number 3 for the first time today. What did I eat?? Marie Callendars Apple Pie. 3 g Trans Fats. My fault for not reading the ingredient list.

I know I shouldn't be but I'm always shocked when I see food manufacturers still using trans fats. My biggest shock was the tomato paste I used to use -- it had trans fats and high fructose corn syrup added. It never even occurred to me to that there would be anything other than tomatoes in tomato paste. If you care you really do need to look at all of the labels.0

There's still lots of trans fats in the food supply. The pie crust was probably made from using crisco or some similar vegetable oil product.0

Yes, it's very sad. Marie Callender frozen pie shells were the only ready-to-use pie crust I ever found that I really liked, and there's 2 g of trans fat per slice (1/6 of crust). I used them for quiches and other savory pies, as well as dessert pies. I should learn to make my own, but I don't make or eat pies that often. I know there is supposedly no "safe" level of trans fats, but if week after week I get zero grams of trans fats, it's tempting to think that the occasional indulgence with a couple of grams isn't too awful.0

They can put 0g in the nutrition info if it's 0.5g or less per serving I think. So definitely read the ingredients list if you're concerned0
